HEA steel beams HEA 180

Buying and price guidance

Review HEA steel beams for the HEA 180 specification. Check material grade, dimensions, inspection documents and delivery requirements before requesting a quotation.

HEA 180 has an actual section height of 171 mm, flange width 180 mm, web thickness 6 mm and flange thickness 9.5 mm. Reference mass is approximately 35.5 kg/m; calculated weights are 213 kg for a 6 m length and 426 kg for a 12 m length. Request 6 m, 12 m or agreed cut lengths, subject to supply confirmation. State the exact series when requesting a price; actual delivery weight depends on rolling tolerances and the agreed weighing basis. HEA steel beams HEA 180

Specification and dimensions

H-beams: exact series and designation such as HEA 100 or HEB 200, plus length. Confirm overall height, flange width, web thickness and flange thickness against the specified section table. HEA and HEB have different dimensions and mass; equal-angle leg dimensions do not apply.

Grades and applicable standards

Dimensions: EN 10365; tolerances on shape and dimensions: EN 10034. Specify the full material grade separately, for example S235JR, S275JR or S355J2 to EN 10025-2, together with the required inspection documents. HEA and HEB of the same nominal size have different actual dimensions, thicknesses and mass. The designation number is not always the actual section height. IPE, HEA and HEB are separate series; confirm the section table, required length, quantity and delivery destination with EMRA Steel.

Applications and project requirements

H-beams are used in structural columns, frames and other designed members. The exact HE series, section properties and connection requirements must be selected from the project specification.

Inspection and traceability

Agree heat or batch identification, chemical analysis, applicable tests and dimensional checks before ordering. Specify inspection documents, acceptance criteria and any independent inspection requirements.

Buying HEA steel beams HEA 180 and requesting a price
