Hot-rolled sheet and coil

Compare thicknesses, dimensions, grades and supply options.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil for fabrication, forming and further processing. Specify thickness, width, surface condition and coil requirements.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil are used in fabrication and manufacturing; specify whether the order is sheet or coil.

Formed and welded components, tube-making feedstock and general fabrication. Match strength, bendability, scale condition and edge quality to the production route.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil Technical and buying guide

Hot-rolled sheet and coil for fabrication, forming and further processing. Specify thickness, width, surface condition and coil requirements.

Specification and dimensions

For coil, state thickness × width, coil inner diameter, maximum outer diameter and permitted coil mass. For cut sheet, add length and flatness. Specify mill edge or trimmed edge, black surface or an agreed pickled condition.

Grades and applicable standards

Structural enquiries may specify S235JR or S355J2 to EN 10025-2. Forming enquiries may specify DD11 or DD12 to EN 10111. EN 10051 addresses continuously hot-rolled strip and cut-sheet dimensional and shape tolerances; these standards serve different purposes.

Applications and project requirements

Formed and welded components, tube-making feedstock and general fabrication. Match strength, bendability, scale condition and edge quality to the production route.

Inspection and traceability

Agree heat or batch identification, chemical analysis, applicable tests and dimensional checks before ordering. Specify inspection documents, acceptance criteria and any independent inspection requirements.

Sizes, weights and quotation guidance

Dimensions are examples for preparing an enquiry, not a declared stock range. Calculated weights are theoretical; mill limits, rolling tolerances and the agreed weighing basis govern the order.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil 1.5 × 1000 mm

Reference thickness × width: 1.5 × 1000 mm. Calculated mass is approximately 11.77 kg/m² at 7850 kg/m³. Coil mass cannot be inferred from thickness and width alone; specify length or coil mass, coil diameters, grade, surface and packaging.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil 2 × 1000 mm

Reference thickness × width: 2 × 1000 mm. Calculated mass is approximately 15.7 kg/m² at 7850 kg/m³. Coil mass cannot be inferred from thickness and width alone; specify length or coil mass, coil diameters, grade, surface and packaging.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil 2.5 × 1250 mm

Reference thickness × width: 2.5 × 1250 mm. Calculated mass is approximately 19.62 kg/m² at 7850 kg/m³. Coil mass cannot be inferred from thickness and width alone; specify length or coil mass, coil diameters, grade, surface and packaging.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil 3 × 1250 mm

Reference thickness × width: 3 × 1250 mm. Calculated mass is approximately 23.55 kg/m² at 7850 kg/m³. Coil mass cannot be inferred from thickness and width alone; specify length or coil mass, coil diameters, grade, surface and packaging.

Hot-rolled sheet and coil 4 × 1500 mm

Reference thickness × width: 4 × 1500 mm. Calculated mass is approximately 31.4 kg/m² at 7850 kg/m³. Coil mass cannot be inferred from thickness and width alone; specify length or coil mass, coil diameters, grade, surface and packaging.
